02Kart Racing Driver Mike Casimiro Wins 2007 Shell Helix Superkarting Series

02Kart racing driver Mike Casimiro, topped the ROK senior class of the 2007 Shell Helix Superkartig Series held recently at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas. This is Casimiro’s second straight victory in the series.
With 1:18.2 time, Casimiro emerged the fastest in the ROK seniors lap against Cebu Racing group driver Kaine Gandionco and finished first. Casimiro showed a strong fight in the Formula Open 125 and the Rotax Max division despite using a less powerful engine.
“It was tougher this time racing against the elite karters, but i learned a thing or two, and im looking forward to better fight against these favorites in the future,” said Casimiro.
PBA All-Star Week Goes North
The PBA All Star Week opened yesterday in the Pacoy Ortega gym in San Fernando, La Union. This is the first stop of the PBA’s celebration of the five-day two city All Star Week extravaganza. Next stop would be in Baguio.
But before proceeding to Baguio, the PBA players set aside their serious side to give way to some worthwhile activities in San Fernando. Yesterday, a tree planting activity was held lead by PBA Commissioner Noli Eala. They were also scheduled to visit hospital and schools for gift-giving activity.
Scheduled today as sidelight of the All Star festivities will be a match between William Antonio and Willie Miller in a two in a row in the obstacle and Nino Canaleta will try to make a grandslam in the slamdunk competition. Hostilities will start at 5 in the afternoon with a skills events like Obstacle challenge, trick shot contest,and shooting stars events will be played by the All Stars. The main event will be at 7pm with the Rookies and Sophomores Blitz Game.
On Friday morning, the All-Stars will proceed to their next stop, Baguio City for the last leg of PBA All Star Week.
