Yep, Manny Pacquiao. You know him, he’s the guy you always see in local TV.

Pacman. The Destroyer. McDonalds Icon. Darlington Darling. Anyway you want to call him, Manny Pacquiao has captured, without a shadow of a doubt, the hearts of the masses, or should I say, majority of the Philippine nation.

Well, as good as Manny Pacquiao as his trainers say he is, a Hall of Fame trainer and top boxing analyst for HBO Boxing named Emanuel Steward firmly believes that Manny Pacquiao will expire soon.

”I give him 24 months before the intensity starts fading for him.”

Yep, those were Steward’s exact words. And mind you, he’s not some Mexican campaigning for the next boxer from Mexico who’ll face Pacman. He’s a Hall of Fame trainer for crying out loud and I got to tell you, this guy KNOWS boxing.

Steward, who founded the legendary Kronk Boxing Club of Detroit, opined that Pacquiao’s dazzling yet ultra-aggressive style has a short shelf life.

”He is so incredibly exciting. He is going to make a lot of money, no doubt about that. He is always exciting and he will leave his legacy in the ring. He is making his mark, But it’s his face-first style that will shorten his boxing career,” Emanuel Steward said.

”That type of fighter, well, they seldom go past age 30. That type of guy does not age well,” he added.

”Look, I’m a fight fan too. I love watching this guy go to war but eventually…”

INSPIRED by the success of Manny Pacquiao, the Muay Thai Association of the Philippines (MAP) is now on the look for a “Pacman” among its rank.
